Mckenzie Brew House- Malvern, PA
Located only a few minutes from some of our favorite Brew Pubs, McKenzies is more of a restaurant than a brewery. Its a pretty large building, big bar in the middle and what looked to be ample outdoor seating. Bartender was better than average, but the beers were not, in my opinion. We actually did not get a growler on this trip even though they are available. The sampler was pretty robust consisting of perhaps 10 or so 5oz glasses. Neither of us felt that the beers had any passion behind them – at least they tasted that way.
It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. This was the first in a 2 stop trip so we decided to eat at the second stop – the new location of the Appalachian Brewing Company – so we can’t comment on the food. for my buck I would go elsewhere – not even sure if we will go back for a growler….no, I’m sure we will.
