Manyunk Brewing – Manyunk, PA
Maybe this is the tale of 2 worlds? The first time we went, Lyssa was in love with it. Loved the beer, the food, atmosphere…everything! We just re-visited and got to sit outside (we have been waiting for a while since the first visit was in the winter) for lunch and Lyssa was a bit disappointed. We had a beer sampler, and Lyssa ended up getting Rum and coke….oh no! I thought the wheat was pretty good actually, so i had one, then mixed drinks. What we really liked was the winter seasonal last time, which of course was not available on this trip. As for the atmosphere, there is a pretty cool tiki bar outside, tons of tables, and 2 other bars – one covered and one on a second level, “The Treetops Bar”. The bartender was pretty good (the girl – not the guy…he was a little ‘off’) since she was dealing with tables also, not just the bar.
Overall its a good spot, I still really like it for the atmosphere, outside seating, nice inside bar, sushi bar and what i consider really good food and service all around. As a side note you can bike right to the bar – we recommend parking at the Valley forge National Park and ride down from there. It is all paved trails, pretty flat, and Manyunk is a very bike friendly town. Make a day of it!

If you go make sure you get the California Dreamin if you like IPA’s its great.
Thanks for the message Nathan. We will definately give it a try – Well I will anyway, its not easy to get Lyssa to try IPAs.
