Appalachian Brewing Company – Harrisburg & Collegeville, PA
Update (June 2012): ABC has now opened a location in Lititz – to rival the Bulls Head? We don’t think so. The location is very similar to all their other locations, exposed beams, woody, etc. Bar is small- maybe 10 seats. The barley wine was not as good as usual – but perhaps it is because they just opened and are getting things adjusted. Lyssa really likes the food so I am sure we will give this location another shot – but the Bulls Head is still #1 in Lititz.
Update (June 2011): They have opened a new location in Collegeville, PA – Same type of atmosphere and beers, but no Belgian sampler. Their Barley wine is wonderful!
Original Review: We really like this restaurant – It is pretty big inside, The food is great and the beers were very tasty. They do offer two different growlers which is good for collectors. One thing that is a bit unique is that they have two different types of samplers; One is a selection of their main (staple and seasonal) beers on tap and the other is a special Belgium beer flight. I am not sure of the duration that the Belgian sampler will last, but it was amazing! Lyssa always gets a turkey Panini when we go here….she highly recommends it! If we were closer to Harrisburg we would be regulars!
