Lyssa found this place online and thought the story of the owners was interesting, so we went and checked it out. You should review their site for where they came from down South and how they brought their style of food along with them. It sure is interesting to see a Southern BBQ joint in Manheim, PA! It’s a place we will definitely go back to, based on a number of things.
First, we did not eat here but will next time – I love me some brisket! They offer a sampler with 5oz glasses, and at the time they only had 5 beers on tap and we got 4 of them – since one was an IPA. They have a raspberry summer beer that we didn’t really care for, some fruit beers or doable but not raspberry. The Porter however was very good!
The owners were both working behind the bar, Very friendly and pleasant – its good to see the people who started the business out front and center to see how much they care about the business and their product. They do not currently have growlers or fill other growlers, but we were told they are coming – another reason we will be going back! Definately worth the trip – maybe not the worlds best beer or location, but so many other things make it unique and a must do!

I love this place! The strange thing is that I am a beer lover/worshiper and while enjoying the beer, people, bar and atmosphere, I love there food!!! I CRAVE there pulled pork and sides! Wish I lived closer!
Agreed! We need to get some food next time for sure. We also wish we lived closer, but I have a feeling it won’t be long till we make it back!
They now have growlers and this summer they will be moving to lititz across from the bulls head
