The Village Haus

www.stoudtburgvillage.com  (Info on entire Village)

We do a lot of walking now with Mia – she likes to be outside and Lyssa needs the steps to lead the battle in her weird FitBit circle of friends competition thing. Annnnyyyyway, just beyond Stoudt’s, in the Stoudtburg Village (A modern replica of an old-world German Village) lies the Village Brewhaus. The location has had a few iterations over the years, and now is at its finest. Very good, reasonably priced food, ice cream bar, booze and beer bar and a friendly staff. Sehr Gut!

Early in the spring/summer we decided to stop in and see what was up, and we are glad we did. Walking to ‘Franzies’ (based on having a bottle of Franziskaner on our first trip) with Mia has become one of our most relaxing evening and weekend trips. We stop in for a set of Hacker Pschorr’s, maybe a chicken salad sandwich (very good), walk the village and make some wishes in the fountain. If you stop by on the weekend, many of the village shops are open to browse for some antiques also! Its a great brew spot in a very interesting location.

We really do enjoy the BrewHaus, and like supporting a business that is a bit off the path but deserves attention. They have everything you need for lunch/dinner, desert, and adult beverages. They also sponsor many of the village events so stop in and help them grow – its one of our favorites!
