As I mentioned on my Croxleys review – I have looked elsewhere in Farmingdale as of late. The Republic can get full, but in general I can usually get a seat at the bar, and most times a bunch of us can. If not, the outside seating is great, private and calming – a good spot for chatting and discussing matters of all sorts.
The food is pretty good, burgers, the Reuben, fries, sweet potato fries, beer pretzel, mac and cheese…..all of it. Beers are about 15 on tap, generally you can find something craft and to your liking. Staff is friendly, Colleen especially has been great to all of us that have stopped in on the usual Wednesday night.
If you are in the area, stop in and try some mac n’ cheese and a beer of your choice – a nice place in a cool town.
